A few small items--

Log Lines

We still have a few log lines in our inbox. I'm willing to keep going with them if you want me to. What say you?

Brenda Novak's Auction

Every year, author Brenda Novak runs an auction fundraiser for juvenile diabetes. This year again I've donated one evaluation of one complete manuscript. If you're interested in bidding on this fabulous prize, go here.

There are lots of goodies worth bidding on. I've got my eye on Jane Porter's Frog Prince Package (because Jane is wonderful and I love that shade of green), the Faerie Basket (feeding my new fairy obsession), and damn near all of the celebrity-autographed stuff (Johnny Depp, Heath Ledger, Harrison Ford -- however is a girl to choose???).

In other news, I was in a fender-bender Tuesday and am still nursing some aches. It wasn't a bad accident. Just bad enough to fuck up my week. Grr. It's slowing me down on things like email and editing because typing is a bit difficult. The silver lining is that I did get a lot of reading done, mainly because it was one of the few things I could still do! Now if I can just type for more than a few minutes at a stretch, I might be able to do something about all these manuscripts I've read.

who has decided that if you're too old to remember your phone number, hear the blare of car horns, or see six vehicles in oncoming lanes, then you're probably too old to drive

Please do continue providing log lines. It's a great little service.

I like doing log lines. Not only is it a great learning experience, but it is great seeing what others are working on.

I'd love to still do the log lines, although I think it's partly because I'm selfish and want to see mine up here :)

Wish I could afford some of that auction stuff! This looks like the best year yet.

Bummer about the car accident. I hope those aches and pains recede quickly. Let's hope everyone is properly insured and the auto-body shop can work its magic.

I'd love to see more examples of log lines. (I'm a slow learner.)

More log lines, if you please.

Hope you're feeling better soon, Theresa.

Aw, Theresa, I'm so sorry to hear about your accident. Just be careful and don't underestimate the severity of the whiplashish potential. As my chiropractor told me -- even a light fenderbender can cause it. So take care of yourself. :)

I'd love to see more log lines, not just to see what everybody is working on but to give them feedback after they were all nice enough to do the same for those of us lucky enough to get in there first/early.

And oooooh auction! I'm so going to have to check out the items! I was never so crushed as when my auction house down the road closed a few years back. :(

Did you check with a doctor after the accident? You might have some soft-tissue damage you don't know about.

Take care. We need you healthy!

I just discovered your blog via the Query Shark, and I'd love to have a go at log lines in the near future - so I say keep them up! (at least until I have a chance to submit mine) ;-)

And good wishes for a speedy recovery from your accident!
