Murph's Challenge - Anyone Can Play

Murph thinks she can tell who edited which stories. Maybe she's right. We're about to find out, and everyone can play along.

I do love a good game, so here's what we'll do. Player's choice -- look at volumes 23, 24, 25 or 26. Or 27, which comes out in July, if you can get your hands on it before the deadline.

Anyone who can correctly name which stories in an antho were edited or line edited by Alicia or I will have your name entered into a drawing. Winner will get "Wicked Temptation" by Liane Gentry Skye, a July e-book that kicks off our "Three Kinds of Wicked" series.

Deadline for entering? Um, I want to give you enough time. How about three weeks? July 7 will be the deadline. Send your entries to edittorrent@gmail.com by then.

Gotta give you fair warning, just in case you were planning on asking our authors for the correct answers. Because of production tangles, some of our editors had to pinch-hit on some of these volumes. And only I know the whole truth about who worked on what.

And that, dear readers, deserves a heheheheheheh at the end. ;)

ETA: In my usual magpie fashion (ooh! shiny! I wants it, I does!), I didn't think through all the rules of the game before declaring the game on. Thank you, commenters, for guiding me with your questions. :) Here are a few more details.

Every Secrets antho has four stories. For each one, you choices are: Alicia, Theresa, both, or neither. Every correct answer gets you an entry in the drawing. So there are four chances with each antho.

We'll notify winners via email, but we'll also want to announce who gets the free book. I'll probably run some kind of tally of totals -- you know, like maybe X% got it that we did such and such story. Not sure it will be a worthy teaching tool, but what the hell. It will be fun. And it's shiny.

And I've probably forgotten which I did, so no use bribing me. But you can try. Chocolate usually works.

This is brillant! I'm 'game' and not the foodchain kind, as Murphy suggested. Where is she? I'm going to email her and find out.
This if going to be fun.

Hi guys!

This in my lucky week. I entered a contest on Liane Gentry Skye's blog that highlighted Three Kinds Of Wicked and won a prize and now this? If some of you haven't been checking out the cool contests on the website you should. There's lots to be had, and Liane? She is awesome. I loved her blog about Steampunk. Have any of you guys heard about that new type of sub genre before? I thought it was totally inspiring!

Okay. Back to the matter at hand.

I'm Hehehe (ing), ( as I rub my hands together) before I snatch up the gauntlet thrown down by TS (that's her WWA name - which translates to: Woman With Attitude) but I'll call her by her given name so there's no confusion: Theresa Stevens.

So, Theresa, we're on, eh? I liked how you said 'Murphy thinks', in your comments? I see you're trying to lead right into the mind games, Mmmm? Attempting to psych me out? I’m on to you.

Alicia? How does Godiva sound? We need to talk.

But um, maybe we should speak about this in private, eh? ;)

Babs: I challenge you to this duel!

Em: You too.

And may the best 'uncover the editor warrior' win.

Murphy:
This is your idea of popping in on a blog to have a boo?

Call me after you read this.

Tell you what we'll do. Every Secrets antho has four stories. For each one, you choices are: Alicia, Theresa, both, or neither. Every correct answer gets you an entry in the drawing. So there are four chances with each antho.

I can't wait to see what you all come up with. This is going to be fun!

We'll notify winners via email, but we'll also want to announce who gets the free book. I'll probably run some kind of tally of totals -- you know, like maybe X% got it that we did such and such story. Not sure it will be a worthy teaching tool, but what the hell. It will be fun.
